About Me

I am Bilal Ahmad Kalas, a master's graduate in mathematics from the Central University of Kashmir with a strong interest in pure mathematics. My main focus is on algebra, especially its structural side, where structures like semigroups, groups, rings, etc and related systems reveal how much depth can lie behind simple ideas.

What I enjoy most about mathematics is the way different fields speak to each other. I am particularly drawn to the connections between algebra, topology, number theory, and geometry, and I also find ideas from representation theory, commutative algebra, universal algebra, and category theory especially interesting. You can check out a draft of my cv here.

This website is where I collect my notes, expository writing, and other mathematical work as I continue learning and exploring. It is meant to grow gradually with my interests, studies, and research.

Hobbies & Interests

Outside mathematics, I enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly camping, trekking, and exploring nature. I also enjoy poetry and reading, especially fiction, psychology, philosophy, and human behaviour. In my free time, I also like to write blogs on range of topics, including mathematics, philosophy, and personal reflections. You can check out my blog here.

I also follow football and Formula 1.
